Contains a very interesting story and quite a unique art style. Playtime is around 30-45 minutes.
My playthrough:
(SPOILERS BELOW)
I'm not sure if this is intentional but you can easily escape the monster by going back and fourth through rooms, I feel like it'd make more sense if it'd force you to go through different rooms each time.
If you choose not to input the code to the terminal, the dialog screen stays on.
I wish it told you to press either E/Q in the menu screen to switch between items.
The "Key Items" option in the menu is not really necessary considering it's just for one item.
I like how the game keeps you on the edge with the monster, is there a story behind it?
Sometimes the monster would spawn way too close to you, essentially making it impossible to escape.
The riddle area puzzles are hard to click on.
The sound effects and music are really nice, I noticed some are even used in Yandere Limit! Great job finding/making those.
Overall, I really enjoyed the game. I would definitely recommend playing it
Thanks for the Reply! Been watching the video, and Loving the reactions. A few points on that.
When the Monster Spawns super close, they are actually close to randomly. The Monster is actually invisible and following you the whole time. And when the timer goes off, we do warn you a bit, but the position is random, makes for good organic scares. The Monster Gets faster per puzzle Solved.
Key Item thing, does cause issues, cause the code goes there. feels like its' a bit hidden.
And interactibles are kind of a pain, mainly due to the fact on how RPG Maker works, and I wanted big Sprites. That's my B. And i'm sorry.
The Music is indeed killer, glad you liked it.
Overall I look forward on finishing the video, and I hope you check out our next Game, when it drops.
This will be getting a vast update sometime in the future, now that the game jam has finished. Thanks to everyone who has tried the early version of this game.
Hey just download and ran it fine, what windows are you running? Did you open it using winrar? or winzip? If it continues to give you problems opening in winrar, or the zip, drag the game folder out of the rar into a fresh folder. It could be having an issue grabbing the graphics from the rar. I can't really fix anything at the moment, but when the jam is up I can do more tests to see if anything needs fixing. I hope it helps for now. Thanks for submitting your report.
Update all, mac version has been removed due to problems. So it is windows only for now. Sorry for the inconvenience there, but yeah if the engine is having issues not much we can do at the moment. Huge thanks to everyone who's given us feedback so far!
Hmm it might be, I'll run a test here. Seems I got an error with a file that's no longer included in the game files. RPG Maker MZ's cache may be having an issue, so I'll see about getting a fresh file up. The error though happens when you game over from what I encountered here, so you should be able to get by, by pressing F5 to reset. But I'll work at getting that fixed up. I'm sorry about that! This has been giving us some weird issues ever since we started compiling it.
Well, I'm glad you were liking the story so far, and sorry the bug had impeded on your progress there. The newer version is up, and I've taken down the mac version as it's having issues. So windows it is for now. Thanks again for your report and we hope you enjoy the rest!

When I run the Windows version it says "Failed to initialize graphics".

When I get attacked, the sprite fails to load and the game crashes.
It is a shame, because I want to see how the story concludes.
Oh no! What version of the game are you playing? Windows or Mac?
Windows
I can see the necessary file is there, but maybe the exact filename is wrong
